We kicked off the summer in style by hosting a white-themed party for LR friends and family to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Lanzarote Retreats & the grand opening of our new villa: new Eco Beach Villa, located in Charco Del Palo. Each year, the historic town of Teguise opens its streets to a lively event where tradition and modernity converge. Returning guests receive complimentary airport transfers upon arrival, children under 18 stay for free, and beach towels are included with your stay.
The summer season is in full swing here in Lanzarote, with the Spanish Meteorological Agency declaring a heatwave. However, thanks to the refreshing trade winds, temperatures never get too unbearable, and the ocean is never far away for a refreshing dip. Moreover, there are plenty of exciting events to look forward to, such as the special concerts in Jameos del Agua and their weekly Piano concerts on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
You can also anticipate the series of summer fiestas, known as “fiestas patronales,” celebrated in every town on the island. These fiestas, typically held between June and September, honor the patron saint of each town. One of the most renowned patron saints is San Ginés, the patron saint of Arrecife, the capital city of Lanzarote. These fiestas are deeply rooted in the island’s culture and history, showcasing traditional customs, music, and dance. The festivities include lively processions, folk performances, live music concerts, dancing competitions, and spectacular fireworks displays during the closing ceremonies. The summer fiestas are a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant Canarian heritage and experience the sense of community that thrives on the island.
