Why choose the Eco Twin Yurt?
This eco-friendly luxury twin yurt consists of two adjacent authentic Mongolian yurt pods, which makes it a great choice for four adults or two adults with children who are looking for a sustainable sunshine holiday.
What can I expect to be included in the Eco Twin Yurts?
Both yurts are decorated with luxury fabrics; the larger yurt (28 square metres), has a marble floor, super king-size double bed and sofa in its living area, while the smaller (8 square metres) yurt has a wood floor and twin single beds ideal for children. Free fast wifi included and an additional z-bed and/or cot can be added to the larger yurt if required. If you are travelling with babies, we can place a travel cot in each pod so you can decide where your baby can sleep during your stay.
The solid floors and traditional two-skin covers keep the yurts draft-free and ensure a constant ambient temperature making it the perfect choice no matter the Lanzarote weather. Additionally the central skylights allow for ventilation as well as romantic star-gazing.
Outside, the yurts have their own walk-in shower room with toilet and a fully fitted kitchen with a granite-topped breakfast bar. Relax and enjoy the privacy of the shaded daybed, or soak up the sun on your loungers. For mealtimes, you can make use of the BBQ and bamboo dining hut both set in your private fenced terrace and garden. There is a second, shared, shower room and W.C, covered kitchen and lounge in the pool and chill-out area nearby. The yurts terrace and outdoor space is fenced and gated.
Need an extra bedroom? Finca de Arrieta has a 3-metre mobile Extra Yurt bedroom which can be added close to this accommodation within the communal grounds.

Find out more about the Village of Arrieta in our Arrieta travel guide.
Arrieta
The village of Arrieta has 400 inhabitants and is set in the northern municipality of Haria, the most traditional area of Lanzarote and ideal for the more independent traveller. This northern part of Lanzarote does not offer purpose-built resorts such as Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen or Playa Blanca. Arrieta is a small traditional Canarian fishing village which has learnt to adapt to meet the demands of some low-key tourism. Among other things, the village offers wonderful sea front fish restaurants, a very good pizzeria take away and a supermarket. As with other villages in the north, Arrieta is peaceful, tranquil and is ideal if you are looking to be away from the neon lit bars and nightclubs found within the tourist resorts of Lanzarote.
Arrieta is one of the prettiest and most authentic fishing villages to still exist in Lanzarote today. It remains unspoiled and there is a rustic charm to many of its historic houses and coastal alleyways.
Arrieta boasts a beautiful beach called “Playa de La Garita” which has fine golden sand and is 810m long. This beach has a restaurant and beach bar and also WC/showers, parking and play park. The waters generally remain calm throughout the year. This beach is ideal for first-time surfing, body boarding, sunbathing, swimming, wave jumping, sand castle making, sunrise spotting, fishing and dining at the beach bar or restaurant.

AnonymousA friend and I stayed in the Twin Yurt part of the complex (made up of mostly yurts and and a few buildings) and had a fantastic time. Our yurt area was private, as are all of the others, clean, had excellent facilities including an outdoor kitchen, a hammock and covered table and seating.
It is a very relaxed, truly chilled place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. The small local beach is lovely, there are very good local restaurants and cafes to eat at and a reliable local bus service to get about on if you don’t have a car.
The Lanzarote Retreat holiday compound is a very calming and very special place to stay. My friend and I loved it and loved the strange volcanic island too. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to either.
Carmen JiminezIdeal stay for rest and disconnection. Very close to the beach and some bars to have drinks or even eat. Also close to tourist attractions. The staff are very attentive and friendly at all times. Very clean and cozy.
Catherine HeaneyWe loved our stay at the finca! My husband runs his own businesses and can be very hard to please but he gave our stay 10 stars! The yurts were lovely, it was great the kids had their own space. We loved cooking and eating outdoors. Paella night was very enjoyable and I enjoyed doing yoga too. The kids made friends at the swimming pool and play area. I loved feeding the chickens and having fresh eggs. I’d never visited the Canaries before- I’d also been a bit put off thinking they’d be very touristy. We were so pleasantly surprised by the North of Lanzarote though- we loved visiting the Cesar Manrique sites and it was great to be able to walk to a Sandy quiet beach. The beach restaurants were excellent. All in all a great holiday, I’d love to return in the future.
