Arrieta
The village of Arrieta has 400 inhabitants and is set in the northern municipality of Haria, the most traditional area of Lanzarote and ideal for the more independent traveller. This northern part of Lanzarote does not offer purpose-built resorts such as Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen or Playa Blanca. Arrieta is a small traditional Canarian fishing village which has learnt to adapt to meet the demands of some low-key tourism. Among other things, the village offers wonderful sea front fish restaurants, a very good pizzeria take away and a supermarket. As with other villages in the north, Arrieta is peaceful, tranquil and is ideal if you are looking to be away from the neon lit bars and nightclubs found within the tourist resorts of Lanzarote.
Arrieta is one of the prettiest and most authentic fishing villages to still exist in Lanzarote today. It remains unspoiled and there is a rustic charm to many of its historic houses and coastal alleyways.
Arrieta boasts a beautiful beach called “Playa de La Garita” which has fine golden sand and is 810m long. This beach has a restaurant and beach bar and also WC/showers, parking and play park. The waters generally remain calm throughout the year. This beach is ideal for first-time surfing, body boarding, sunbathing, swimming, wave jumping, sand castle making, sunrise spotting, fishing and dining at the beach bar or restaurant.

Carmela - Eco YurtThe yurt experience was great. We enjoyed the coziness of the arrangements. Large private area.

GeorgieAfter a rocky start to our trip, Michelle saved us last minute, we wish we’d booked here first! The yurt was beautifully decorated and cosy. We loved the peaceful surroundings, sea views, outdoor kitchen, and collecting fresh eggs in the morning for breakfast. You can relax in private or mingle in communal spaces, plus there's an honesty shop for essentials. The beach is a short walk but would recommend hiring a car to explore what the island has to offer. There are beautiful natural beaches on the way to Orzola. The staff were wonderful! Really helpful and attentive. A special mention to Zak the cat, our holiday companion. If you are staying here and meet him, please make a fuss over him, give him chin scratches, kisses & tell him he's "muy guapo!" We miss him already, he hung out with us the whole time we were at camp. We look forward to returning one day. Thank you for hosting us!

ChrisBeautiful setting for a unique holiday on the island. Yurts with private decks, outdoor kitchens and shared pool area is wonderful. Friendly, attentive staff. Play area for kids, trampoline, beach volley ball court and table tennis. Perfectly situated in quiet surroundings but only a short walk to the beach or a short drive to Jameos del Agua and other visitor attractions. We have returned again and again and will in the future.
Anneloes VWe had a very nice week in the quiet north of Lanzarote, which is not yet overrun with tourists. The eco village was also good. Child-friendly luxury glamping :).
AnonymousOur second visit to the Finca de Arrieta in Lanzarote Retreats, with our four-year-old son, and just as fantastic a stay. A beautiful little collection of yurts etc, very peaceful at night, within walking distance to the beach and restaurants of Arrieta village, very friendly staff, very easy transfers to and from the airport, great use of the hybrid electric tour to visit other parts of the island. Can't recommend enough!
Mia WomersleyWe had an unforgettable stay at Finca de Arrieta. It was our first time abroad in 4 years and could not have been better. Our yurt was perfect - so exciting for the children. The set up of the eco village, with all the added perks of the playground, trampoline, chickens, donkeys and pool were exactly what we needed. The staff were all delightful and always willing to help. And the communal paella evening, courtesy of Matt, was divine and such fun. We'll definitely be back, and shall recommend Finca de Arrieta to all our friends! Thank you.
