Sala Botánica is one of five-holiday homes set within the Tiagua81 traditional Canarian house. Situated in Tiagua village in the centre of the island, you are away from the resorts but only 10 minutes from Famara beach, Historic Teguise and the capital city Arrecife, ideal for those who appreciate the rural side of the Island, Tiagua is the old trade capital of Lanzarote where many properties were farmhouses, shops, markets or traders posts Recently refurbished this particular studio sits on the roadside of this stunning building.

NB: Minimum stay at this accommodation is for 3 nights.

Cuarto Botánico at Tiagua 81 sits in the heart of the village of Tiagua, right in the centre of the island Away from the towns and resorts you are still close to everything as the island is relatively easy and quick to drive around. The village is quiet and very well-positioned to explore the rural side of Lanzarote. When staying here you have the opportunity to experience some great walking and cycling in the surrounding area.  Tiagua offers a great fully stocked supermarket with greengrocer, charcuterie and fresh meat counter. There is a Pizzeria on the way into the village and a fantastic ‘asadero’ (grill) called El Tenique which is one of our personal favourites. In the neighbouring Village of Tao, there is a restaurant ‘Bodegon de Tao’, popular with the locals and the must-do ‘Sociedad’ where you can sample local dishes & play a game of ‘Pentanca’ (boules) Famara beach is close by and offers great walking & surfing, it is a stunning locals beach and can be truly breathtaking There is a farmers market in ‘La Vegueta’ some 7 minutes drive away, open every Sunday morning for locally grown fruit & veg Teguise village is 10 minutes drive, this is the old capital of Lanzarote and is the oldest settlement in the Canary Islands with over 600 years of history. The owners of Tiaga 81 have created and run 2 restaurants, Cantina Teguise & Esquina Teguise, both set in one of the most beautiful villages on the island. The Sunday market is popular with tourists and great to buy some interesting souvenirs, but if you don’t enjoy busy places then visit any other day of the week!

“Great location. It is next to a busy road but can’t hear it from our room but outside at the wall, it can be loud if like us you live in the countryside where we hear a mouse fart! City dwellers will find it quiet. Great pool and nice facilities in the room. Easy check-in and loads of parking :)”

Claire and Sam

“We stayed at the studio for a week. Excellent spot to explore the different places on the island as it is located in the centre. It is also a great place to relax during the windy days!!!

Linda

“We had an amazing stay! Also very clear instructions how to enter the place and a guide with places to visit. Even the little kitchen had the basics we needed; oil, salt, pepper, garlic and tea! The location is in the middle of Lanzarote, everything is only a maximum of 30-40mins drive away.”

Vicky D
