Welcome to the VILLA BY THE SEA. Unwind in this serene and chic haven. Newly refurbished 5bed, 5bath villa located in the peaceful farming village of Mala. Featuring two stunning fully-equipped kitchens, including a spacious main kitchen integrated with a grand open-plan living room boasting elevated ceilings. You will never tire of the uninterrupted ocean vistas. Two air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suites. Indulge family and friends by the pool and yoga-ready pool house. Enjoy the Atlantic ocean views and contemporary furnishings of this stylishly appointed villa. Both kitchens feature ovens and dishwashers, while the main kitchen offers a modern double door fridge, freezer, coffee machine, and all utensils. Perfect set up for a delightful family meal. This villa offers perfect space for family and friends to eat together around the wooden dining table or unwind in the cozy chairs near the in-house gas fireplace, soak in the unique Lanzarote landscape. Step outside the open-plan living area through double doors to the patio, where alfresco dining awaits at the second wooden dining table, with the fire pit area right ahead.
The ground floor presents a spacious air-conditioned master room with an ensuite. On the same floor, there is a 2nd double room with a nearby bathroom. Ascend the stairs to the mezzanine overlooking the lounge, where an L-shaped sofa and dedicated workspace. Find focus here in your dedicated workspace while enjoying the captivating view of the Atlantic waves.
From this level, access the exterior balcony with garden views, and to the right, find the air-conditioned blue room with an ensuite and floor-to-ceiling glass walls for panoramic sights and stargazing. The villa by the sea is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the ocean.
When you exit the lounge area and step onto the ground floor terrace turn to your right to uncover the second section of the house, which showcases a room with a lofted double bed and a single bed on the ground level, making it an ideal space for kids or teenagers. The elevated double bed adds a unique touch and maximizes the use of space in the room. Beneath the elevated bed, a door leads to a double room with an ensuite, providing privacy and convenience for young kids or teenagers, followed by a kitchen dining area.
Step onto the terrace with a daybed overlooking the pool, accompanied by a pool house equipped with a WC, shower, fridge, and kettle. Yoga mats and blocks are available in the pool house for your convenience.
Behind the pool house, bounce away on the trampoline and sandy volleyball pitch. The property offers numerous private areas to relax, allowing you to bask in the sun amidst lush palms and nearly 50 olive trees
Mala is a village in the municipality of Haría on Lanzarote in the province of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. Its population in 2012 was 533. The village’s economy is based around tourism and agriculture. Its nearest neighbours are the villages of Guatiza and Charco del Palo, both about 3 km away.
Some places to visit close to Mala are:
- Charco del Palo: This town is just two kilometres from Mala and is known for being a nudist resort, with mainly German tourists. If you visit this unique little town, you have to take a dip in its natural pools.
- Guatiza salt flats: Natural salt flats heading towards Los Cocoteros. Nearby you will find a pool where you can enjoy a quick swim.
- Mala Dam: Although never in operation, it is still a great site to see. It is easy enough to find at it can be seen from the highway heading from Mala to Guatiza. When the wind is right you can also see paragliders and hang-gliders starting their flights from the dam.
- Caves by the Mala Dam: For the real adventure seekers! From the dam there is a two kilometre trail where you can find three different artificial caves. “La Catedral”, is the largest and most impressive cave. Don’t forget your camera because this is the perfect spot to take a few snaps.
- Don Quijote bar & restaurant that hosts live music events most weekends

Arrecife Sands – Wheel Chair user information: This apartment is all on one floor, has open plan shower and there is a lift up from street level and underground parking. Unfortunately there is a step and small door access to the terrace so a wheel chair can not access the terrace. Door sizes: kitchen 67cm, main door 80cm, all other internal doors 70cm. Please ask for more details if required.

Check-in time is 16.00 and check-out time is 10 am. We can store luggage for you at Finca De Arrieta or at the office in Costa Teguise.
What time is check in / out time?
You can arrive to your holiday home from 16.00 onwards and your check out on departure day is at 10am
What to pack between October and March?
Jumper/Fleece – a jumper for evenings as Lanzarote offers lovely outdoor living and it can be cooler outside at night.
Light waterproof jacket – incase it showers (which is not very often but can catch you out)
Wetsuits – if you are planning getting in the water!
What to pack for Families?
Baby monitor if you are planning to spend evenings out on the terrace.
Calpol, teething gel etc….
Nappies/Swim nappies – you can buy these here but they are very expensive
Milk Powder – again very expensive and they may not have your usual brand
