“Villa Luna Mar offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation which is centrally located and a perfect base from which you can explore the island.”
Villa Luna Mar is located between Puerto Calero, the exclusive and stunning premier marina of Lanzarote and the busy resort of Puerto del Carmen, although its tranquil setting makes it feel far away from the bustling tourist areas. A three-minute drive or a twenty-minute walk along the coastal path will take you to either location.
Decorated to an extremely high standard, this secluded luxury villa, which sleeps six, sits on a prestigious 6,000m2 plot with uninterrupted sea views, mature gardens and a private electric heated pool 10.0m x 5.0m and Hot Tub. The contemporary décor and simple but stylish furnishings give the house a bright and airy feel throughout.
The spacious open plan living and dining area boasts magnificent sea views and has large patio doors opening out onto the shaded terrace. The fully fitted modern bespoke kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs and comes complete with an oven/hob/grill, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. This light and airy room lead out by its double doors to the terrace, BBQ and outdoor dining area. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and an external drying patio. The villa comes complete with free WiFi, flat-screen TV, DVD, free to view TV channels, docking station and safe.
All bedrooms at Villa Luna Mar have ceiling fans and sea views. The master suite has double patio doors onto the shaded terrace, a king-size double bed, a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower/wet room with a sink and a hairdryer. The second en suite bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobe, patio door and en-suite shower/wet room. The third bedroom has a set of twin beds, double patio doors and a built-in wardrobe. There is a separate bathroom located in front of the third bedroom and an outside guest cloakroom which you can easily access from the pool terrace.
Outside, enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the mature gardens and uninterrupted sea views from the covered shaded terrace – gas barbecue and teak dining furniture for six – which overlooks the 10×5 metre electric heated swimming pool and Hot Tub. The infinity pool is beside the dining and lounge area and features a rock cascade, there is an open fence bordering the pool.

Puerto Calero / Puerto del Carmen
Puerto Calero is only a few kilometres in distance from the bustling resort of Puerto del Carmen, but a world away in style and atmosphere. Home to some of the finest Lanzarote villas and hotels, as well as a good selection of bars and restaurants. Before 1983 Puerto Calero did not exist until it was dreamed up by the developer José Calero as an exclusive retreat to provide a luxury marina, residential development and golf course for the island of Lanzarote.
The Marina is a great place to wander, look at the fabulous boats and generally soak up a bit of the luxury atmosphere that permeates the whole place. You can certainly spend a few hours sat in one of the cafes or great range of restaurants that overlook the marina.
Puerto Calero is the base for a number of water based activities, such as the Catlanza catamaran trips, Submarine excursions and a variety of sport-fishing boats which allow you to try your skill at landing Marlin and Blue-fin Tuna in some of the best and most productive waters to be found. There are also dive schools operating out of the Marina who offer instruction and guided dives from beginner through to advanced levels. The array of shops in Puerto Calero is not vast, but you will find some very nice boutiques alongside souvenir shops which are more upmarket than in the other resorts of Lanzarote.
Puerto del Carmen first got going in the Sixties and since then it’s upped the tempo from its fishing village roots to become the most popular tourist destination in Lanzarote. The waterside promenade doubles up as the main strip – it’s packed with bars, clubs and restaurants, and it also looks out over a trio of beaches. You still get a bit of Puerto del Carmen’s former charm, though, as you’ll see from the authentic eating places in the old town.
Puerto del Carmen comes with 3 sandy beaches. The main one, running along the promenade, is Playa Grande with its sunloungers, umbrellas and gently shelving shoreline. Walk for about 10 minutes and you come to Playa Chica in the old town. It’s a bit quieter and secluded, and the diving centre makes it popular with snorkelers and scuba divers. And to the east is Playa Pocillos – a huge swathe of sand with windsurf-ready waves.

DavidA lot of space, no neighbours, calm, amazing pool, nice seaview, we loved it so much that we will definitely book it again.
AnonymousWe stayed here recently and had a lovely relaxing time. It’s such a lovely villa and perfect just to unwind, laze around and swim in the pool. With 3 decent sized bedrooms, there’s plenty of space to move around but when we stayed it was just the two of us. It’s ideal for a bit of luxury staying away and sunbathing! The pool is a good size and the water is just the right temperature, it’s not salty or chemically either. Perfect. The kitchen has almost every cooking dish, utensil and crockery you can think of, and the gas BBQ was used daily. It is in a remote location so you will need a car or many taxis. There are supermarkets in a 5-10 minute drive away along with restaurants and shops! We’d certainly recommend it and hope to go back again in the future when travelling returns to normal.
Susie MLovely peaceful location with stunning ocean views away from it all, but just a walk along the coast to Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen. The villa was decorated to a very high standard and immaculately kept. Comfy beds and good quality bed linen and towels (pretty rare to find nowadays!) We would 100% stay there again.
