Our Capital Declares Veg Friendly

Lanzarote’s capital is declaring itself as being Veg Friendly thanks to a collaboration with the tourism department of Arrecife Ayuntamiento and the Asociación Lanzarote Vegano.

Arrecife is positioning itself against cities such as Barcelona, Berlin and Vitoria, by adopting an innovative, ecological, sustainable and ethical measure for people and animals, as well as helping the local economy and tourism.

Vegetarianism is growing exponentially throughout Europe, and Arrecife wants to adapt to a greener, healthier and more respectful future.

Around 80% of clientele dining at the vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the capital are not currently vegan or vegetarian, but diners seeking a healthier alternative.

The new plaques denoting Veg Friendly bars and restaurants in the capital will start being installed in the next few days.
