An airport pick up, a glass of Cava and we were whisked off to Lanzarote Retreats. Our accommodation was a majestic Yurt, set in an eco friendly village of varying sized Yurts, with private walled gardens, and private kitchen and dining areas. An honesty shop , stocking essentials , meant the hire car was resting too. The Eco village was born out of an imagination that things could be different. That holidays can be fun filled, exciting and interactive yet be low impact on surrounding environments. The pool is small and safe and perfect for children, and the lovely sandy beach is a 5 min stroll. The Retreats location, on the quiet north east coast of the island , is perfect for exploring the contrast and diversity of Lanzarote. The historic town of Haria and the Valley of a Thousand Palms is only 7kms away inland set high in a mountain range contrasting the idyllic setting of the Yurts, far below, staring peacefully over the Atlantic Ocean.. This is a holiday with the Wow factor. This is a holiday, embracing solar energy, where waste water is re-cycled for use on hardy flowering plants , Cacti and Palms . This is beach, this is mountains. This is unwinding on a different level. This is Lanzarote Retreats. This is simply an amazing place to holiday.
